Uses of Teak wood:

Teakwood is the best timber for the manufacture of door, window frames and shutters, wagon and carriage, furniture, cabinets, ships, agricultural implements, decorative flooring and wall panelling due to its moderate weight, appropriate strength, dimensional stability and durability, easy workability and finishing qualities.

Medicinal uses of Teak:

In indigenous medicine, the leaves are employed, and their extract shows full suppression of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Flowers are said to be beneficial in the treatment of disorders such as biliousness, bronchitis, and urine discharge. The leaves contain yellow and red dyes that are suitable for coloring silk, wool, and cotton.

Tectona grandies  Habitant:

Soil : 6.5 to 8.0(Ph)
Temperature: 40℃ to 45℃
Rainfall  : 1000 to 2500mm
Sea level: 1250m

Nutrient(Ca) Importence In Teak:

Tectona grandies trees   soil is relatively fertile with high calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), nitrogen (N) and organic matter (OM) contents. Several research studies indicate that teak requires relatively large amounts of calcium for its growth and development, and teak has been named as a calcareous species. The amount of calcium content in the soil is also used as an indicator of teak site quality. That is, the greater the proportion of teak to other associated species, the higher the calcium content in the forest soil.

Importence of  Australian Teak:

With Special reference to the  Australian Teak height is 3 to 4feets  and age is 12 months.
Some Important Qualities Observed in Australian teak.
1) .Australian teak plantation selected because this leaf contains high Nitrogen that make the soil more fertilize and it mostly suit for inter crop. this is know as drought species which can esasily survive shortages in the water supply areas.
2).  Design of this Australian teak leaf is curved and lightly thin because of this sunlight reaches to the all over the land partially which is really helps us for doing inter crop of farming in this forestry agriculture project.
3). This plant species comes under enabling storage of nitrogen-rich material which is absorbs Nitrogen and fixes it in the soil to increase the fertility of the soil.
4). This teak wood from Australia is widely famous plant which used in ship building, making furnishing products like doors, tables, cabinets etc. for home or offices which provide stronger and longer durability and fine beauty and craft works.
A fully grown Australian Teak’s height can be between 45 to 65 ft and diameter can be between 3 to 6ft. It can produce minimum 30 to 35 cu. ft. of wood. Assuming 1 cubic ft. wood price is Rs. 800  to Rs.1200. Wood produced by one tree can be valued = 30 cu. ft. x 800Rs. /- Rs. 24,000/-. One tree can give you that much of revenue@16 to 18 years of age.
